Hello,
We have experiencing a real cold snap. Remember to make sure your child has all their winter clothing for the weather. A note must be sent if your child needs to be kept in. Also, please remember to send a snack daily.
I will list the following important days which include:
Feb 14 Valentine's Day Party (Send valentines and a few snacks if you like.)
Feb 18 Louis Riel Day (No School)
Feb 19 100th Day of School (Bring a hundred of an item; cheerios, fruit loops, etc.)
Feb 19 - 22nd Random Acts of Kindness Week (Acts of Kindness will be rewarded)
The teaching for the February is LOVE.
We are working on Trees in Science and Me and the People Around Me in Social Studies.

Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone is enjoying the cold temperatures and the early snow. I am shocked that September has come and gone so quickly. Students are settling into the classroom and getting used to the classroom rules.
In Science, we continue to work on the "Colours" unit and in Social Studies, we continue with the unit called "Me". The Kindergarten class and I have discussed the difference between needs and wants. They should be able to tell you what their basic needs are.
October will use the theme of "Apples and Pumpkins" and there will be a variety of activities using these items. The children are very excited for Hallowe'en and this is just around the corner. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I know I have a lot to be thankful for and great students is one of these things I am thankful for.
Please send a change of clothes if you haven't already done so. A big thank you to all parents who have already done this. It is also a good idea to send a spare set of mitts and a hat. Make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the cold weather. Just one more note, please don't let your child bring his or her toys to school because they might get lost or broken. They do cause conflicts so I would appreciate if the toys were left at home.
I appreciate the support and your co-operation.
